Abstract

This research was conducted to study the knowledge, attitudes and practices of female heads of households towards the recycling of household waste, as well as heads of households Is posts in any of the civil organizations and whether Almjnma benefited them in the field of recycling? Is watched programs on television for recycling Is benefited from it? Are heads of households studied in a decision of the Home Economics for recycling? I have been using the survey method as a way to collect data on this research on a sample of 500 heads of families. It has been emptied and statistically analyze data using percentages and arithmetic average and standard deviation and t-test using the statistical program SPSS.
Results of the study have resulted on the following:
1. There were no statistically significant differences in the awareness of recycling household waste between sample heads of households depending on both the (family size Worked head of the family - the place of residence).
2. There are statistically significant differences in the awareness of recycling household waste between sample heads of households depending on depending on both the (take advantage of the media in the field of recycling of household waste - reading in magazines and newspapers for recycling household waste - the utilization of the curriculum in the field recycling of household waste - Participation in civil society organizations - to take advantage of civil society organizations in the field of recycling of household waste).
