The Awareness of using modern technology and its relation to the management of resources and academic aspiration for youth

Abstract

The research aimed at studying the relationship between awareness of young people using modern technology, resource management and their academic aspiration.
The research problemrevolves around trying to determine the relationship between the awareness of young people using modern technology, their management of resources and academic aspiration they have, as well as studying the relationship between some of the study variables, such as level of education of both father and mother, monthly income of the family and both the awareness of young people using modern technology and management of the resources and academic aspiration they have.
The sample of the research consisted of (280) single research subjects of university students at the third year of the Faculty of Law, University of Tanta and female students of the third and fourth year at the Faculty of Home Economics, University of Al-Azhar of different economic and social levels from Al-Gharbiya governorate who have been selected in an accidental oriented way.
The researcher used the search tool of public data form, the questionnaire of young people awareness of using modern technology, the questionnaire of resource management, and the questionnaire of academic aspiration.
The main findings of the research were as follows:
- There was a positive correlation between the awareness of using modern technology and both the management of resources and the academic ambition of the young people at a level of moral of 0.01.
- There was a difference of a statistical significance between the young people management of resources as a whole and the management of the two resources of time and effort and the academic aspiration according to the level of awareness of using modern technology at the level of moral of less than (0.01) on the side of the higher level of the awareness of using modern technologies.
- There were differences of a statistical significance between the students of the practical faculties and their counterparts in the theoretical ones as regards resources management on the side of the former.
- There were no statistically significant differences between males and females of the research sample as regards the awareness using modern technology, resource management and the academic aspiration.
- There were statistically significant differences between the young people of the sample depending on the purpose of their use of the Internet in both resource management and academic ambition they have.
Research Recommendations: In the light of the results of the current research researcher recommends the following:
-   Seeking to activate the use of modern technology in teaching and learning processes in the Egyptian universities because of their deep impact on the well management of resources and raising the level of ambition of the young university academic and improve the quality and quantity of education.
-   Holding training sessions for young people on the optimal use of the means of modern technology and clarifying the entire pros and cons associated with dealing with it, and working for the development of self-censorship among the youth.
