Abstract

The nature of the materials is related to the choice of the design technique. The design process requires the identification of the material properties, the printing technique used and the addition techniques of other materials in order to achieve the aesthetic aspect of the clothes. The present research is concerned with presenting the printing techniques used on some weft knitted fabrics to achieve the aesthetic aspect of the child’s T-shirt from 6-9 years. A total of (24) designs were prepared and implemented with an aim of studying the mutual and aesthetic relationships to achieve aesthetic, creative and functional values to choose the best.
The designs were shown to (20) arbitrators in the field of clothes and textiles in the home economics and specific education colleges. The statistical treatment was conducted as show in the study results. Designs 4, 17 and 21 received the highest scores. The best design was No (17) which came first with a quality percent (95%) the second was No (4) with quality percent (94.3%) and design (21) came third with quality percent (94%).
The results showed that there is an effect of some printing techniques of weft knitted fabrics in achieving the aesthetic aspect of T-shirts which are characterized by excellence and quality. The study gives some recommendations that indicate the researcher’s to continue the study and the fine and technical experimentation to benefit from them in the field of education and support of small industries.
