Abstract

The ready-made garment industry is one of the most important industries on which the national economy is based, as officials have recently increased interest in it due to technological progress and modernization in this industry at the local and global level. (Hanim El-Hawari 2004)
Despite the technological advancements in the garment and textile industry, there is a process of not little waste in the various stages of the industry that results in fabric residues during the various stages of manufacturing, and the remnants and waste of fabrics are considered to be of little exploited exhaust that should be utilized (Thanaa Mustafa Sarhan-2011)
In terms of costs and prices of products, consideration must be given to making use of every part of the different raw materials that are used by ready-made garment factories in their production, especially what affects the price of the product and its functional characteristics and therefore the consumer's ability to buy. Therefore, every part and a small piece of the remnants produced in these factories must be exploited. As a natural result of the interlocking and cutting process of the pattern parts (Histology-2001)
Children's clothing (dress - bib - bib for children - hat) is of a design and practical nature (functional) that allows for the possibility of using small pieces of fabrics, assembling and knitting them in a special way and with special patterns with the distinction in the selection of appropriate materials, colors and designs, and from all this can produce children's clothes that combine Between the functional aspect (i.e. it meets the child's needs in terms of clothing characteristics) and the economic and gives the child beauty at a low cost (Afaf Kamal Ali Mahmoud-2000). Therefore, the research problem was represented in:

1- Has the remnants of fabrics been used in the different stages of operation inside the factories to make a product (salobet - dress - baby cape - hat)
2- Is there a cultural and national awareness among the factory owners about the importance of using leftover fabrics?
3- Will the use of textile bags in the work of some small projects reduce the volume of unemployment in Egypt?
4- Will the use of fabric scraps affect the aesthetic and functional side of the product?
Will the use of leftover fabrics reduce the cost?
