Abstract

Research aims to achieve better functional characteristics of cotton blended with likra that have been treated by microwave radiation therapy, search relevance is to determining the most appropriate standards for these fabrics in the most suitable mounting tissue , weft cover factor, and study of the effect on fabrics quality, and sufficiency of functionality. For this purpose, Suitable fabrics have been Producted with multiple variations. Ring spinning warp yarn specifications is Fixed for all produced fabrics under research(100% cotton yarn-No. 40/2 English numbering). Open end weft yarn No 30/1 blend cotton with Lycra (cotton, Lycra).
Samples have been spun in Egypt company for spinning and weaving in ,Mahalla Alkobra with  the following specifications:
-      Weaving structure: (Twill  3/3 –Rib weave3/3-Panama weave2/4-Satin weave6).
-      weft cover factor (11.68-13.15-14.61).
After completion of the production of fabrics according to the specifications and the specific variables, primary equipment was made on them, then they have been treated with microwave using the power level (1000 watts) for (1 minute), then they have been treated using permeability water materials, then perform lab tests for evaluation of thier functional properties.
-After you apply the appropriate statistical methods, it was concluded that:
- The most appropriate samples in total quality is the sample that treated with microwave with weaving structur (Rib weave3/3), and with weft cover factor (14.61) .
