Abstract

This study aims mainly to know the effectiveness of using Six ThinkingHats' Strategy on the cognitive achievement and development of design skills of women's jacket and direction of the female students of Faculty of Home Economics - Al-Azhar University towardsCoats' Subject,The problem of the study was determined onthe answer of the following question:What is the effectiveness of Six Thinking Hats' Strategy in teaching coats' subject on the attainment and development of skills design of women's jacket anddirection of the female students of Faculty of Home Economics - Al-Azhar University towards the subject?
For answering this question, the following three assumptions have beenduly tested:
1. There is significant difference at level (0.05) or less among the average degrees of female students of the experimental group and those of female students of the traditional group for achievement test levels of all components of Bloom's Category ( Memorization- Comprehension-Application- Analyze- Composing- Evaluation ) and total score for the experimental group.
2-There is statistically significant difference at level (0.05) or less among the average degrees of female students of the experimental group and those of female students of the traditional group for skilled performance of design of women's jacket for favor of experimental group.
3. There is statistically significant difference at level (0.05) or less among the average degrees of female students of the experimental group and those of female of the traditional group at the attitude measurement towards coats' subject for favor of experimental group.
To achieve the study objectives, researcher has used the experimental methodology and commenced designing the tools of the study which include: achievement test, performancetest, and attitude measure. Furthermore, the experiment was applied on arandom sample of (32) clothes and textile department's students, at therate of (16) for each study group; The results of the study indicated a significant differences between the control group and traditional group at the cognitive achievement at all knowledge levels required to be measured, performance test, in addition to their excellence in attitude measurement; and that such excellence was statistically significant at significance level (0.05)or less.
