"The Effectiveness of the Fishbone Strategy in Teaching Home Economics on the Development of Social Skills and Problem Solving among Prep School Girl Students

Abstract

To investigate the effectiveness of using the fishbone strategy in teaching the home economics to develop social skills and  problem solving among prep school students.
The Study Sample:
            A sample of second-grade girl students in El-Shaheed Basim Mukhtar Al-Jamsi Preparatory School, Shebine El-Kom Educational Directorate, Menoufia Governorate, including (60) students divided into (30) girl students experimental group and (30) girl students control group.
The Study Tools:
• Social Skills Scale.
• Problem Solving Skills Scale.
            After investigating the validity and invariability of the study tools, the researcher conducted the field experiment on the research sample (the experimental group and the control group).
The results were as follows:
A. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the girl students (the control group and the experimental group) in the post application of the social skills scale.
B. There were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the girl students (the control group and the experimental group) in the post application of the problem-solving skills scale.
C. There is a statistically significant correlation between the scores of the sample members on the social skills scale and their scores on the problem solving skills scale.
