The role of life skills in face of work pressure

Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of life skills in face of work pressures. The sample of the study included 200 employees from Alexandria University, from the faculties of engineering, faculty of agriculture, Commerce College, college of literature, faculty of specific education, faculty of Kindergarten.
The study includes a questionnaire with questions about social and economic characteristics (type - age - Functional degree - years of service -  place of residence - work place - family size- educational level -  income level) as dependent variable ,and life skills, work pressures as Independent variables.
The results showed that there was a correlation between the size of the family and the pressures of work. It was also found that there was a relationship between the level of income and work pressure and the absence of a correlation between the years of service and the pressures of work. The results also showed a correlation between family size and life skills, and the absence of differences between the type and the level of work pressures. The results also showed that there were no significant differences between the work place in the different faculties of the university and the work pressures
The study recommend to provide university employe with programs on the life skills and methods of development. Benefiting from specialists in the field of human development by hosting them in special programs and presenting models for how to organize time and overcome the difficulties that pass without it and the ability to make decisions efficiently in the field of work. And effective communication between staff within the university, to provide training programs by the university to improve the expertise of employees in the use of modern technology.
