Abstract

The Research aimed to study the Effectiveness of using the Thinking Out Loud and Robinson (SQ3R) Strategies in Teaching Home Economics in Developing Evaluative Thinking Skills and Academic Integration among female preparatory school students. The Descriptive and Experimental Approaches were Used. The Research Sample Consisted of (90) First-Year Preparatory School Female Students Who were Divided into Three Groups: (30) Students in the First Experimental Group, (30) Students in the Second Experimental Group, and (30) Students in the Control Group. The research tools that were prepared were the Evaluative Thinking Skills Test and the Academic Integration Scale. The Results Showed the Effectiveness of Thinking Out Loud Strategy in Developing Evaluative Thinking Skills and Academic Integration, the Effectiveness of the Robinson (SQ3R) Strategy in Developing Evaluative Thinking Skills and Academic Integration, Besides, the Presence of a Statistically Significant Difference at a Significance Level of (0.05≥) Between the Average Scores of the First Experimental Group Students Who Studied with Thinking Out Loud Strategy and the Second Experimental Group Students (Who Studied with Robinson (SQ3R) Strategy) in the Post-Application of Each Test of Evaluative Thinking Skills as a Whole, Its Sub-Skills and The Scale of Academic Integration as a Whole and Its Sub-Dimensions in Favor of The First Experimental Group.
