Abstract

Artificial intelligence and its technologies have made great progress in the field of design
and production artworks, making design accessible to

everyone, especially students of specialized colleges. AI helps students develop critical thinking, problem solving and creativity skills. Although many researchers have addressed the use of AI as educational tools It helps them create their designs, but they did not use it in designing decorative (Ramadan) units suitable for printed furnishings. This research aimed to develop the skills of Home Economics students in using AI techniques to design decorative units for printed furnishings. Using The Lexica Art and Wonder Dream AI applications, and Make a guide on how to use it
The research's importance lies in training students to use modern AI trends in furnishings design, which may help them establish small projects and provide them with income. The study followed a quasi-experimental and descriptive analytical approach. The sample consisted of 20 Department of Home Economics students. The research tools included knowledge and skill tests (pre- and post-tests), an assessment scale to evaluate the skills included in the program and measure their validity and reliability, and a questionnaire to find out students' opinions about the training program and the trainer. The results confirmed the validity of the hypotheses, as statistically significant differences were found between the average scores of students before and after the test, in favor of the post-test, which indicates the effectiveness of AI programs in In developing students' skills in designing decorative units suitable for printed furnishings
