Abstract

Artist uses art as an expressive language, and he uses plastic media to express aesthetic emotions around him and through which he reflects his thoughts. The researcher resorted to research and development through experimentation with different materials that keep pace with civilization's rapid progress, and the synthesis between different materials and techniques has a significant impact on renewing and breaking the confines of traditions. The research aims to benefit from some arts and implement them using threads to prepare aesthetically pleasing designs and keep pace with current fashions. The research followed (descriptive-analytical and semi-applied approaches) to achieve its objectives. Twenty models were designed, and designs were evaluated by specialists using a questionnaire to measure the opinions of (15) specialized arbitrators, as well as the opinions of (51) consumers. Data was analyzed, and statistical transactions were performed using the SPSS program. The results reached an agreement with the opinions of the specialists regarding the proposed designs, as we find that "there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the arbitrators' opinions on the proposed designs regarding the success of using some arts using threads as a source in highlighting the design, achieving the elements and foundations of the design and the innovative and functional aspect, and there are significant differences." A statistic between the averages of consumers' opinions on the designs proposed in the questionnaire as a whole." Research recommends expanding the study of different arts and materials that can be combined and creating new plastic visions in fashion design.
