Strategies for Dealing with Marital Disputes and their Relation to Family Security as Perceived by Wives

Abstract

The research mainly aims to study the nature of the relationship between strategies for dealing with marital conflicts in its four dimensions (negotiation strategy, mediation strategy, dominance strategy, avoidance strategy), and family security in its four axes (moral security, emotional security, social security, and economic security) as you perceive it. Wives. The current research followed the descriptive analytical approach, where a questionnaire of strategies for dealing with marital conflicts from the wife's point of view was prepared and codified, and a questionnaire of family security as perceived by the wife, and the questionnaire was applied electronically to 1000 wives Provided that the husband is present in the family, and they were chosen in a random and purposeful way, from different social and economic levels, and from the countryside and urban areas of some governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The results showed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between each of the total strategies for dealing with marital conflicts in their dimensions, and family security in its axes at the level of significance (0.01). One of the most important recommendations was preparing awareness programs for married couples through the media through home management specialists, and emphasizing the importance of providing training courses for wives, and managing family affairs through family counseling and guidance centers to help them increase their awareness of ways to deal with marital conflicts and how to obtain family security and stability
