The Aesthetics of Patchwork Art for the Production of Newborn Supplies

Abstract

This research aimed to take advantage of the aesthetics of the art of patchwork for the production of newborn supplies and to measure the opinions of specialists and consumers, "mothers of children," in newborn supplies implemented using the art of patchwork. The research sample consisted of a group of specialists, numbering (11) from the faculty members Specialists in the field of clothing and textiles and consumables "mothers of children" numbered (53); the research followed the descriptive analytical approach in the theoretical framework and the experimental approach in the applied framework of the research. The research tools consisted of two questionnaires, one for the specialists in the field of clothing and textiles and another one for consumers, "mothers of children," to identify their opinions regarding newborn supplies implemented using the art of patchwork; the results of the research concluded the positive opinions of both the specialists and consumers "mothers of children" regarding newborn supplies implemented using the art of patchwork. The research also recommended the need for further studies and research to improve the art of patchwork and try to employ it to enrich The aesthetic, functional, and economic aspects of clothing and various other art pieces, as well as the possibility of using newborn supplies made with art. Patchwork is in the research and employing it as a small project to advance the small projects sector and reduce unemployment.
