The Effectiveness of an Educational Site to Acquire the Manual Skills of Leather Decoration Within the Framework of A Distance Education Strategy for Students of Colleges of Home Economics

Abstract

The Internet and its multiple services are among the best educational innovations that provide an educational environment rich in knowledge and skills, through which it is possible to work in collaborative groups within the same classroom and different classrooms, where learners can develop their knowledge of topics of interest to them through communication With friends and experts with the same interests. Learners are responsible for searching for and formulating information to develop their thinking skills. The general objective of the study is to prepare an educational site to develop the skills of decorating methods on leather to keep up with the trend of Internet-based learning (web) in cognitive achievement and skillful performance of decorating techniques on leather for students - Faculty of Home Economics, Menoufia University.. The research sample consisted of (15) students from the Faculty of Home Economics, and included: One experimental group studies the techniques of decoration on leather. The research tools consisted of the arbitrators evaluation form, the achievement test form, the skill test form, and the form for measuring students' opinions on the program. After verifying the validity and reliability of the study tools, the researcher applied the research tools to the study sample before and after and extracted the results through the achievement and skill tests, before and after, to ensure the effectiveness of the educational site in developing the knowledge and skills side of the decoration techniques on leather for students.
