Abstract

There is no doubt that financial support from family is an essential source that newly married girls require to help them in their daily lives due to the various new lives they face, which are full of burdens and responsibilities. As a result, the primary objective of this study is to investigate the family economic support of newly married women and its relationship to their purchasing and spending behavior. The study take place in the period of September-October, 2020. The study data were collected from a sample of five hundard (500) newly married wives with a total of five years of marriage. The sample was collected in a purpose-effective shell, and the research data were updated via an electronic questionnaire that included some Egyptian governorates (Cairo- Almenoufia - Alsharqia - Algharbia - Damietta - Daqahliya - Kafr Al-Sheikh). It included a form for newlyweds, a questionnaire about family economic support, and a questionnaire about purchasing and spending habits. The descriptive analytical approach was used in the study; the data were classified, and appropriate statistical methods were applied using spss21. According to the findings, there is a statistically significant positive correlation between family economic support and purchasing and spending behavior in a sample of newlyweds. One of the most important recommendations is for specialists to develop media-based awareness programs for newly married women that clarify purchasing and spending behavior and prioritize consumption after essential goods and services.
