Abstract

The Research aims:
1-   To identify the differences in the methods of parental upbringing depending on certain variables (sex of their children - parents' education level) .
2-   To identify the differences in the habits of mind among (the students / female students) research sample depending on certain variables (sex - education level of the parents) .
3-   To detect whether there is a correlation function between the methods of parental upbringing as perceived by children (the students / female students) research sample and habits of mind they have .
The most important results:
1-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the methods of upbringing (cruelty excess - Oscillation - negligence) in favor of males.
2-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the methods of upbringing (extra protection - domination) in favor of females
3-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the methods of upbringing (acceptance and attention - extra protection) for the benefit of all the children of fathers with a high educational level and mothers with high educational level.
4-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the methods of upbringing (cruelty excess - domination - negligence - Oscillation) for the benefit of all the children of fathers with a low educational level and mothers with low educational level.
5-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the habits of mind (Persistence - Thinking Flexibly - Listening with empathy and understanding  - Managing Impulsivity) Depending on the sex variable in favor of females
6-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) were shown between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the habits of mind (striving for accuracy) Depending on the sex variable in favor of males.
7-       Statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the mean scores (male students - female students) in the scale of all the habits of mind interlocutor variable depending on the level of education of both the father and the mother alone for the benefit of the high educational level .
8-       Extrusive correlation between the axis of acceptance and attention in the scale of methods of parental upbringing as perceived by children and all axes in the scale of habits of mind at a level of significance (0.01),( 0.05)
9-       Reverse correlation between some of the axes scale methods of parental upbringing as perceived by the children (cruelty excess - domination - negligence - Oscillation -extra protection) and all axes in the scaleof  habits of mind at a level of significance (0.01),( 0.05).
