Abstract

this current research aims at recognizing the motor handicapped awareness of safe residential standards and its relationship with life satisfaction. The research sample comprised 50 motor handicapped. They were purposely selected from adults and the visitors of handicapped rehabilitation assemblies and institutions. The two researchers adopted the analytical descriptive methodology. They utilized the following instruments; General Data Form, The questionnaire of the awareness of the motor handicapped safe residential standards and the questionnaire of motor handicapped life satisfaction.
The research results concluded the following:
-          There are differences of statistical indication at 0.01 function level at the safe residential standards (interior residential standards – exterior residential standards),as recognized by the handicapped, as per study variables ( gender-age-educational level of the motor handicapped-vocational level of the motor handicapped-family average income-handicap period-aid device of the handicap).
-          There are differences of statistical indication at the safe interior residential standards in favor of females at 0.01 function level. As for the exterior safe residential standards, they were in favor of males. While (age-educational level-vocational level-average income) differences were in favor of the higher level. As for the period of handicap, differences were statistically indicative at the interior safe residential standards in favor of the longer handicap period. On the contrary, differences were not indicative at the domain of awareness of exterior safe residential standards.Wheras; the differences at the motor aid device were indicative at the interior safe residential standards in favor of users of club and crutch and non indicative at the exterior safe residential standards.
-          There are differences of statistical indication at life satisfaction at 0.01 function level in favor of females. Whereas, there were differences in favor of higher educational level as per age, vocational level and monthly average income. 
-          There are differences of statistical indication at 0.01 function level regarding the motor handicapped satisfaction of their lives (personal satisfaction-familial satisfaction-job satisfaction-residential satisfaction) as per the study variables .
-          There is a positive correlation at 0.05 function level between the safe residential standards domains (as recognized by the motor handicapped) and life satisfaction domains questionnaire.
-          According to the study conclusions, the two researchers prepared a guide booklet containing the safe residential standards. It was distributed to the research sample as a trial to enlighten the motor handicapped of the scientific fundamentals to introduce potential amendments to their residential environment with the aim to save time, effort and money when applying whatsoever amendments or moving to another new residence.
