The effectiveness of cooperative learning in the light of the concept maps strategy on the collection and the development of design skills of the children flat pattern

Abstract

The goal of this research is to measure the effectiveness of the use of each of the strategies of cooperative learning and concept maps of knowledge and skill performance parameters for the students at the Faculty of Home Economics, HelwanUniversity in the field of design children flat pattern.
Search tools have been prepared, their validity and stability were verified, and they include: knowledge test and another Skill test, estimate measure to correct the skill test, and a questionnaire to measure the views of students about learning method used.
A sample search has been applied on Second Grade Students Educational Division, Faculty of Home Economics, HelwanUniversity, includes 28 women student and that in the second semester of the academic year 2013 - 2014 m.
The search results supported the validity of the research hypotheses verification, which indicates the existence of statistically significant differences between the average level of the students of the control and the experimental groups in favor of the experimental group at the performance test, skill test and the students' opinions about the learning method used.
