Evaluation Study For Services Provided In One Of The Blind Institutions And its Relationship With Life Skills As Perceived By The Blind

Abstract

Based on the growing interest in disability issues and serious effects on  all levels, especially those related to life skills for blind present, the study aimed mainly to revealing the nature of the relationship between the services provided in one of the Blind institutions and life skills , where the data are met through the application of research tools of (general data form, measure services institutions of the blind, and the measure of life skills) on a predetermined sample consisted of (104) blind residents within the institution, from the social and economic different levels, It has been followed in this study, descriptive and analytical approach, by using a program (Spss.), The current study reaches the following findings:
The existence of a positive correlation statistically significant at the 0.001 between perception blind for the services provided institutions of the Blind, and life skills.and- There were significant differences at 0.05 between the mean sample in each of the services provided and the perceived life skills depending on the type of blind in favor of females and following the work of the mother in favor of the children of working mothers. As well as the presence of D. variation statistically significant at the 0.01 level of significance and 0.001. Between the average sample grades study in the services provided perceived life skills depending on the educational level of the father and the mother and the monthly income of the family for the benefit of blind children of parents with higher education (university and postgraduate), in favor of the income children of families high.
The study recommended that the allocation of funds from the province's budget to support the care of disabled institutions in general, especially the blind so that they can improve the level of services provided by the well to pay attention to the application of the proposed plan to improve the level of services provided by the institution, which has cast a shadow over the acquired skills I have blind
