The Reality Ofthe Family Education Teachers′ Practice Of Creative Teaching Skills And Its Obstacles From Their Perspectives

Abstract

The study aimed to find out the reality of the family education teachers′ practice of creative teaching skills, determine its most important obstacles from their perspectives, and  reveal the extent of correlation between those practices and the degree of the obstacles they face. The study participants consisted of all family education teachers in the governomental middle schools in the city of Tabuk, including(52) teachers. The researcher developed Creative teaching skills observation form, and an obstacle scale to collect the required data . The results revealed a decline in the degree of family education teachers′ practice of creative teaching skills in comparison to the required and specified level in the current study, which is (85%). The results also showed no significant differences in the degree of practice of creative teaching skills due to the two variables; educational qualification and quorum of teaching, in contrast, the results showed there are fundamental differences in terms of experience (over 10 years), followed by (5-10 years), then experience that is less than 5 years . Furthermore, the study results indicated the presence of a moderate degree of obstacles facing creative teaching from the teachers′ point of view. Obstacles related to the education system were ranked in the top of the obstacles list, followed by ; those related to the teacher, obstacles related to the  nature of family education subject, and those related to the students. Finally, the study also showed there was no significant correlation between the degree of creative teaching practice and the degree of its obstacles.
