Abstract

current research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of using Carin's model in Developing of Academic achievement and habits of mind and motivation for learning in the Home Economics sciences for the students of the preparatory stage,  to verify of these research aims, it has been selected Two units of the first grade middle curriculum and prepare a teacher guide to be taught according to this model. It has been building the following tools: achievement test and scale Habits of Mind , and the measure of motivation to learn, as well as applied them on a sample of students which divided into two groups, control and experimental strength, 30 students per each. The results showed that: There is statistically significant difference at the level of 0.01 between average grads of control group and experimental group students in the post test in favor of experimental group. There is statistically significant difference at the level of 0.01 between average grads of control group and experimental group students in the post scale Habits of Mind in favor of experimental group, There is statistically significant difference at the level of 0.01 between average grads of  control group and experimental group students in the post  measure of motivation to learn in favor of  experimental group,The presence of correlation statistically significant differences between achievement test scores and habits of mind scale and the measure of motivation to learn the students in the experimental group in the post application. .
 Finally, the effectiveness of using Carin's model in Developing of Academic  Achievement and habits of mind and motivation for learning in the Home Economics sciences for the students of the preparatory stage.
