The Practice of Family Dialogue and Its Relation to both the Values and the Assertive Behavior of the Children (At the university level)

Abstract

The current research aimed to uncover the relationship between the practice of family dialogue (from the point of view of childrenat the university level) and its relation to both their values and their affirmative behavior. The sample was selected in a purposeful way consisting of (173) students at the university stage of the third year students, from different disciplines and economic and social levels in the Faculty of Specific Education, Mansoura University, it was one of the conditions of choosing the sample that the student or student belongs to the category (single) The exclusion of students who lost one or both parents and students whose parents separated.
The research tools included: (prepared by the researchers):
1- General data form for the family.
2- A questionnaire about the practice of the family dialogue
3 - A questionnaire for the values
4 - A questionnaire on the behavior of confirmation ( All of these
answered by the students).
One of the most important results:
- There were statistically significant differences in the average of family dialogue practice among the sample according to gender in favor of female students. According to the work of the mother in favor of the students of working mothers, there were no statistically significant differences in the mean values ​​of the sample according to gender, mother's work, Economic values ​​for female students, social values ​​for students of working mothers. There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores (the practice of family dialogue, the values ​​in their dimensions, the affirmative behavior) of the sample according to the educational level of the parents in favor of the parents' children in the higher educational level.There was a statistically significant difference between the average scores (the practice of family dialogue and the assertive behavior) of the sample according to the size of the family in favor of sons of small family size. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores (values ​​and dimensions) of the sample according to the monthly income level of the family, except the economic values ​​in favor of the sample in favor of children at the average monthly income level. There was no statistically significant difference between the mean (assertive behavior) of the sample according to the monthly income level of the household. The existence of a statistically significant correlative relationship between the respondents' practice of the family dialogue and each of their values ​​and affirmative behavior.
Some of the most important recommendations were:

Universities, maternity and childhood care institutions and youth centers should hold seminars and lectures given by specialized professors of various segments of society to spread the culture of dialogue of the prisoners, and to indicate the importance of if any and how dangerous if absent, and how to use the best to solve the problems that face us in our lives.
The introduction of schools, universities in their study plans, the basis of the dialogue of prisoners and the importance of practicing it, so that it is taught to all students alike.
Parents should show confidence in their children from childhood and respect and listen to them when talking to them, and avoid criticism and defamation, to instill all the positive values they have.
