The Development Of Embellishments For Jeans Trousers Inspired By Indian Rangoli Art

Abstract

The research aims at creating decorative designs inspired by Indian Rangoli decorations and using them in jeans trousers to hide the defects resulting from the frequent use of it by automatic embroidery. A total of (14) designs were prepared and a questionnaire was prepared for specialists of the faculty members in the fields of clothing, textiles and fine arts at the Faculty of Home Economics at Helwan University (10) in order to evaluate the proposed designs .and questionnaire the consumer of (20) Randomly selected from age groups ranging from (12-16) years in order to identify their views on their acceptance of the proposed designs. The research was based on the descriptive method applied.
The results of the research showed that the proposed designs achieved positive views from specialists and accepted by the consumers, which indicates its distinctiveness. And the implementation of a set of proposed designs that obtained the highest average grades of specialists and consumers together.
The most important recommendations to try to shed light on more sources of artistic vision in the field of decorative design for women, and further studies linking the art of fashion design and decorative design and folklore.
