Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the efficiency of using TRIZ theory in teaching the Home Economics to develop the educational attainment, logical thinking and self-efficacy of the preparatory stage students.
Methodology : The Descriptive Methodology and the Semi-Experimental Methodology
Sample : The sample of the study consisted of (49) students from the first grade of the preparatory stage. They were divided into two groups. One of those two groups was the Experimental group which consisted of (25) student, the other group was the controlled group and consisted of (24) student.
Tools: The researcher prepared the following tools: (The attainment test, the logical thinking test and self-efficacy measuring. The researcher also prepared a teacher guide to teach the two units “HayyaNataaraf and Walaa’s role in the family” from the Home Economics course of the first semester for the preparatory first grade according to TRIZ theory.
Results :
1. There is a statically significant difference in the level (0.01) between the mark average rates of both the experimental and the controlled group students with respect to the post application of the attainment test, for the benefit of the Experimental group.
2. There is a statically significant difference in the level (0.01) between the mark average rates of both the experimental and the controlled group students with respect to the post application of the logical thinking test, for the benefit of the Experimental group.
3. There is a statically significant difference in the level (0.01) between the mark average rates of both the experimental and the controlled group students with respect to the post application of self-efficacy measuring test, for the benefit of the Experimental group.
4. There is a positive correlation between the marks of the students of the Experimental group with respect to the post application of the logical thinking and self-efficacy.
This reflects the efficiency of TRIZ theory in developing the educational attainment, logical thinking and self-efficacy of the preparatory first grade students.
