Abstract

The current research aimsat examining the effectiveness Scientific Stations Strategy in teaching Home Economics in developing reasoning thinking and learning motivation among a sample of (60) preparatory stage female students, enrolled in Nahtay Preparatory School, Zefta District, Gharbia Governorate. The sample students were divided into two groups; an experimental group of (30) students, and a control group of (30) female students. To achieve this aim, a Reasoning Skills Test and a Learning Motivation Scale were prepared. Thus, the descriptive and quasi-experimental methods were applied. The research results revealed that:

There is a statistically significant difference at (p>0.01) between the experimental and control groups' meanscores in the post-application of the Reasoning Skills Test in favor of the experimental group students.
There is a statistically significant difference at (p>0.01) between the experimental and control groups' mean scores in the post-application of the Learning Motivation Scale as a whole, and its dimensions in favor of the experimental group students.
There is a statistically significant positive correlation at (p>0.01) between preparatory stage female students' scores in the post-application of the Learning Motivation Scale and their scores in the post-application of the Reasoning Skills Test.

Thus, the Scientific Stations Strategy was proved to be effectiveness in developing reasoning thinking and learning motivation among preparatory stage female students.
