Psychological Abuse And Its Impact On The Self-Management Skills Of Adolescent Children

Abstract

The main aim of the research is to identify the impact of psychological abuse on adolescents in the family on their self-management skills. The analytical descriptive method was used by applying the study tools prepared by the two researchers: (Primary data questionnaire, psychological abuse questionnaire, self-management skills questionnaire). The basic study sample consisted of (150) Students from the preparatory stage were selected randomly at Assiut State and private schools of different social and economic levels. The appropriate statistical methods were applied to derive the descriptive results and the results in the light of hypotheses.
-          There were statistically significant differences in the psychological abuse of children according to gender was in favor of males.
-          There are statistically significant differences in the psychological abuse of children according to age in favor of the younger age group.
-          There are differences of statistical significance in the psychological abuse of children according to the educational level of parents in favor of the level Educational level.
-          There are differences of statistical significance in the psychological abuse of children according to income in favor of low-income earners.
-          There are statistically significant differences in self-management skills for children according to age in favor of the older age group.
-          There are differences of statistical significance in the self-management skills of children according to the educational level of parents in favor of higher education level.
-          There are differences of statistical significance in the self-management skills of children according to the level of income in favor of high income level.
-          There is a negative correlation between the psychological abuse of children and each of the axes of self-management skills at a level of significance (0.01).
