The effectiveness of using collaborative learning in teaching home economics in problem solving skills and social efficiency for female students of the first secondary grade

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To determine  the effectiveness of using collaborative learning in teaching home economics in problem-solving skills and social efficiency  for female students of the first secondary grade, in a sample of (60) female first-graders at the old secondary school girls department of Shbeen el kom administration in the governorate of menoufia.
Study Tools:

Test of  problem solving skills.
scale of social efficiency.

Study results:
 1. There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the average scores of the students of the control group and those of the experimental group in the problem solving skills for the experimental group.
2.  There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of female students of the control group and those of the experimental group in the post-application of social efficiency in favor of the experimental group.
3. There is a positive correlation statistically significant at the level (0.01) between the development of problem-solving skills and increase social efficiency in the post-application on the study tools for students of the experimental group.
4.  There is a great effectiveness and educational task to use collaborative learning in teaching home economics to develop problem-solving skills and social efficiency for female students of the first secondary grade.
