Effectiveness of Using " Schema " in Developing Visual Thinking and Mastery Motivation among Prep. Stage Female Pupils in "Home Economics".

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of using Schema in developing Visual thinking and Mastery motivation among second-grade middle school female pupils in  Home Economics. The research participants were (60)selected from second-grade preparatory female  pupils at Al-Kom Al-Akhdar Preparatory Joint School, affiliated to the Shebin Al-Kom Educational Administration, in Menoufia .They were divided into two groups (control and experimental) . The researcher used the following instruments: a Visual Thinking Test and a Mastery Motivation Scale, to be administered before and after the two study groups (control and experimental). The results of the research revealed a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group female  pupils in the pre and post administeration of Visual thinking and mastery motivation scale in favor the post administeration. There was also a positive correlational relationship with statistical significance between the scores of the experimental group female  pupils in the post administeration of both the visual thinking test and the mastery motivation scale.
