Quilling Art Enrich Women's Clothing And Accessories With Textile Scraps By Using Quilling Art

Abstract

The field of producing women's clothing and their supplements is witnessing continuous changes and developments according to the latest developments in science and technology, in view of the need of women - especially working women - to constantly change clothes and their supplements because of their need to appear in a decent and always renewed appearance. The idea of ​​research to use these residues to enrich women's clothing and both of attached and separate supplements to give it a new and unusual appearance. Using the techniques used in the wrapping paper " quilling art" , which was never used in other materials, has been used those techniques in the remains of knitted fabrics to enrich the aesthetic aspect of women's clothing and supplements.
The research aimed to shed light on the recycling of the remains of knitted fabrics and use them in the preparation and implementation of designs suitable for women's clothing and supplements using colored paper roll art, which is known as (quilling art), leading to the provision of clothing and supplements more economic and innovative. 15 designs for women's clothing were implemented, including (jacket - blouse - tunic - skirt - trousers - drill - cloak - dress - salubit  - Jumpsuit) and supplements such as (bag - shoes - scarves - shawl - bonnet - vest - cap - hair tuck) and accessories as (earring - necklace - ring - bracelet)
A questionnaire was designed, consisting of three axes:
• The suitability of the quilling art in design.
• Achieving elements and foundations of design.
• Achieve innovative aspect of design.
The designs were presented to 23 arbitrators belonging to different universities (Menoufia University - Mansoura University - Tanta University - Zagazig University - Helwan University)
Then, the statistical treatments were conducted to reach the results. The three designs with the highest rating were selected: (Design 5 - Design 4 - Design 1). These designs were implemented.
