Effect of consumed Snack Foods on Nutritional and Health Status of Secondary Stage Girl Students

Abstract

Therefore this study aims at getting know the nutritional habits common among the girl students at and their health and nutritional condition. And getting to know the food in- take and how for it meets the nutritional requirements of students.
Consuming various types of fast food  such as different types of chips (slices of fried potatoes),corn flakes, seasoned wheat, or types of cakes or chocolates…….and others by prep and secondary student has become a nutritional habit because they spend most of their time outdoor
Some of these foods is nutritional whereas some have high calories without having any high nutritional value.in addition some of these foods contain preservative, colours,harmful addition to health which from during their preparation such as acryl amides in preparing fired potatoes.
Consuming these foods is acceptable when eaten reasonably but if they become a nutritional habit they make the consumer have large quantities and evenaffecton his in-take of eaten meals from the real complete meals that have nutritional value which may negative affect the general health of those student.
The Practical Methods :
High school students were selected from the Old MitGhamr Secondary School for Girls through a questionnaire on the apparent symptoms of anemia and were divided into three groups as follows:
1- Control Group: A group of 20 students without symptoms.
2- PotatoChips Group: A group of 20 students who greedily eat potato chips and crackers.
3- Chocolate Group: A group of 20 students who greedily eat chocolate.
Application forms of(Health Status, Economic and Social Status and Food Status) and a three-day return application form were distributed. Next those forms were evaluated and commented and a statistical evaluation was done  for theretrieval application form.
The Main Results :
That resulted in a significant increase in calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, iron, zinc, phosphorus, sodium and potassium for both groups: ( potatochips and chocolate), but the control grouphad an expected slight increase. There was also an increase in vitamins A, B2, B6, Nisin.
There was a significant lack of calcium and vitamin D, E because the main meals were not taken on regular dates and long periods of time were spent  outside the home due to the private lessons.
