Abstract

The study was to study the relationship between awareness of the strategic planning of retirement age in its dimensions (health-economic-psychological-leisure time investment) and awareness of the problems of the elderly in their dimensions (health-economic-social relations, leisure time) retirement. The study of the level of awareness among the respondents of the problems of the elderly (health, psycho - social - economic - leisure time), the relationship between the social and economic characteristics of the sample members awareness of strategic planning dimensions and awareness of the problems of the elderly by exclusion, identify differences in awareness of strategic planning for retirement age and awareness of the problems of the elderly According to some variables (type, place of residence, social status, occupation), several tools were used to obtain the data and information needed for the study. (Socio-economic - psychological - leisure time) (preparation of the researcher) and a questionnaire to recognize the problems of the elderly in their dimensions (health - economic - social - family relations - leisure time) The study tools were applied to a sample of 300 employees of the retirement age who were selected in a random squamous manner provided that they were approaching the retirement age and ranged from (39-55) years of both sexes from different social and economic levels. statistical data acc spss program
The most important results of the study were a positive correlation between the level of education and the awareness of the strategic planning of retirement age from the health side at the level of significance of 0.05. There is an inverse correlation between the income level and the total cognition of the problems of the elderly and its dimensions (health - leisure investment) significance 0.01, and 0.01, and 0.05 respectively. There is a positive correlation between awareness of the strategic planning of retirement age from the economic side and the total cognition of elderly problems at the level of significance of 0.001. There are no statistically significant differences in the strategic planning of the retirement age in its dimensions (economic - social - health - psychological) (0.95, 0.20, 0.06, 1.3) are statistically insignificant, which means that gender does not contribute to achieving differences in awareness of strategic planning for retirement age. There is a direct correlation between total awareness strategic planning retirement age awareness of social problems Which means that the greater the awareness of the strategic planning of retirement age from the economic side, the greater the awareness of the problems of the elderly in their dimensions (socio - social - leisure investment). This corresponds to the Walls (1991) study which confirms the existence of a positive correlation between satisfaction with life and Investment of leisure time and planning of the economic side. The researcher recommends the need to work to encourage the use of older people in different specialties and consult them in various areas of life. Give the elderly opportunities to work in any area where they can perform. The importance of setting up day clubs for the elderly and preparing recreational programs for them and coordinating with the Ministry of Culture and Information to establish a radio or programs for this age group. The institutions and clubs of the elderly should pay attention to the programs and projects that help the elderly to know how to fill their free time in a useful way and help them to form new relationships and friendships instead of what they lost due to retirement or the death of a wife or friends.
