Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between emotional support as recognized by children in late childhood and decision-making, through a set of sub-objectives to determine the level of emotional support as recognized by a sample of children in late childhood, and to determine the level of decision-making in a sample of children in late childhood with four axes (decision-making in the field of clothing - decision-making in the field of food - decision-making in the field of study - decision-making in the field of leisure time).
The research was used in the research questionnaire emotional support as recognized by children in late childhood, and the decision-making questionnaire for children in late childhood (decision-making in the field of clothing - decision-making in the field of food - decision-making in the field of study - decision-making in the field of leisure time), and applied the research to a sample of children aged 10-12 years, selected in a descriptive method of purpose and amounted to research (300) sons and daughters in late childhood, and the method was used descriptively.
The results have resulted in the existence of a statistically positive correlation relationship at the level of indication (0.05) between emotional support as recognized by the children and the decision-making of a sample of children in late childhood, and the absence of a statistically function correlation between some variables of the social and economic level (Number of family members, level of father's education, mother's education level, monthly family income) and emotional support in a sample of children in late childhood, as well as the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the average grades of males and females in late childhood in emotional support as perceived by sons in favor of females, while there are no statistically significant differences between the average son and female son in late childhood in decision-making. And there are no statistically significant differences between the averages of emotional support and decision-making depending on the place of residence (rural, urban).
One of the most important recommendations of the research was:
that specialists should be interested in preparing programs for parents in order to educate them about the proper education and proper growth of their children at all age stages, as well as the school's interest in summer activities and the activation of charitable work to develop the ability of children to benefit from their leisure time well.
